China’s main civil aviation college celebrates its 70th anniversary
TIANJIN, China, September 19, 2021 / PRNewswire / – University of Civil Aviation China (CAUC), from China first civil aviation college based in the northern port city of Tianjin, will celebrate its 70th anniversary on September 25.
Over the past 70 years, the CAUC has become the main base and force of from China training of civil aviation personnel and scientific and technological innovation. Known as the cradle of civil aviation talent in the country, the university is also a center for scientific and technological research and a platform for international cultural exchanges in the field of civil aviation.
Co-established by the country’s civil aviation watchdog, local government and the Ministry of Education, the CAUC now has more than 28,000 students, 75 aircraft for education and flight training and 22 airplanes for the practice of aircraft maintenance.
The university is also a full member of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS program. She co-founded the Sino-European Institute of Aeronautical Engineering with the Group of Aeronautical and Space Schools (GEA), which systematically introduced the French model of training engineers. In june 2016, it has been described as an excellent Sino-French university cooperation project by the two countries.
CAUC seeks to build a national strategic science and technology force, highlighting scientific and technological innovation in the areas of aircraft safety and airworthiness, airspace planning and operational safety, future airport and intelligent equipment, general aviation and safety, the environment and sustainable development of civil aviation.
Efforts are also being made to strengthen scientific and technological support for the development of national wide-body aircraft, engines and intelligent civil aviation, to make breakthroughs in basic technologies related to the development of the industry and to strive for develop technical standards in key areas of civil aviation.
