Pendleton Heights Top 10%, take 4
PENDLETON – Pendleton Heights High School recognizes the Top 10% of the Class of the Year.
There are 37 students in this group for the 2021 class.
The countdown continues this week with issues 13 through 6. It will be completed in next week’s edition of The Times-Post.
Brayton Gust is currently ranked No. 13 with a cumulative grade point average of 12.4444. He is the son of Brian and Pam Gust. Brayton has been a member of the National Honor Society, the National Beta Club, and has participated in many areas of the school’s music department: Indoor Percussion, Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Express, and Jazz Combo. He has enjoyed writing and organizing music for the past two years. Brayton plans to march with the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps in 2021. He will also attend Anderson University to study computer engineering. Its objective is to help the development of autonomous vehicles in the future.
Macy browning is currently ranked No. 12 with a GPA of 12.549. She is the daughter of Lindy Browning and Kyle and Tammy Browning. Macy has participated in Pendleton Heights soccer, the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Rookie program, and has been a member of the National Honor Society, the National Beta Club, the Student Athletic Council, and the Athletes of Character. She enjoys playing soccer for the Indy Premier Soccer Club. Macy will be attending Indiana Wesleyan University to study nursing and be part of their women’s soccer team. She hopes to become an intensive care unit nurse and then work towards becoming a certified nurse anesthetist.
Kaitlyn wheetley is currently ranked No. 11 with a cumulative GPA of 12.6122. She is the daughter of Eric and Holly Wheetley. Kaitlyn has been a member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, Swimming, Student Council, Soccer, Arab Allies, Pendleton Players (theater), and Best Buddies. She also enjoys being active, helping her community and spending time with family and friends. Kaitlyn plans to study nursing at Ball State University. Her goal is to become a neonatal nurse.
Emma Adams is currently ranked # 10 with a GPA of 12.6875. She is the daughter of Lora and Bryan Adams. Emma played football every four years; she started on the junior varsity team in her freshman year and earned her academic letters in her sophomore, junior and senior years. She was named captain of the varsity team in her senior year. Emma has also participated in the PEA Rookie program, the National Beta Club, the National Honor Society (treasurer), the French Club and the National French Honor Society, and has been the leader of the Sunday School for sixth grade girls. . Emma plans to study at Indiana University, Purdue University in Indianapolis or Indiana University at Bloomington, and will major in biology and minor in chemistry. She will endeavor to attend Indiana University School of Dentistry for her doctorate in dentistry. Emma would like to operate her own dental practice.
Logan bolinger is currently ranked No. 9 with a GPA of 12.7143. He is the son of Jason and Dusty Bolinger. Logan has been a member of the National Honor Society, the National Beta Club, soccer and tennis teams, the National French Honor Society, and the Wind Ensemble in the orchestral department. Logan plans to attend Butler University to study actuarial science. He wants to become an actuary.
Logan parker is currently ranked # 8 with a GPA of 12.7174. He is the son of Shawn Stenski and Troy Parker. He was a member of the National Beta Club. He is undecided at this time as to which college he will attend. Logan would like to work in the computer industry.
Sienna huther is currently ranked # 7 with a GPA of 12.8571. She is the daughter of John and Jennifer Huther. Sienna was a member of the GAPP (German-American Partnership Program) and played for the JV soccer team in her first year. Sienna is also in Scouts BSA, where she is Firecrafter and in “Order of the Arrow”. She plans to attend IUPUI to specialize in Mechanical Engineering. His career path is undecided at the moment.
Chloe Etchison is currently ranked # 6 with a GPA of 12.8679. She is the daughter of Brittnie Etchison and Richard Beckham. Chloé has been a member of the National Beta Club, the National Honor Society, the French Club, the National French Honor Society, Best Buddies, SADD and the orchestral department: Marching Band, Concert Band and Pep Band. She plans to attend Butler University where she will major in biology. Chloe would like to become a pediatrician.
