Thomastown Credit Union wishes its members a Merry Christmas. Not the one who indebted them. It is therefore a reminder to members that it is important not to borrow too much, and then find yourself under financial pressure for the rest of the year.
In view of the future, it may be useful to know that the Caisse populaire also offers a Christmas savings account. This allows members to set aside a bit during the year.
Thomastown Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-managed and member-owned cooperative. All the surplus at the end of the year is allocated to reserves for the future of the fund and distributed to the members in the form of a dividend and an interest subsidy.
The Bennettsbridge office of the Thomastown Credit Union is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. It was renovated in July 2018 and offers the same services and privacy as the Thomastown office.
