Our Future: Bay of Plenty aims to inspire and connect young people across the Bay of Plenty to develop ideas and make a difference for the future.

The event has $2,000 in prizes up for grabs and is taking place at Senior Citizens Hall in Ōpōtiki on Saturday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Young people will have the opportunity to participate in a future-oriented roundtable, hear from international speakers, discover opportunities and pathways, develop and share their ideas to make a difference, according to a statement from the organizers. of the event.

“A ‘dragons den’ style panel including people from the local community will help determine the winners of the $2,000 prizes.”

The event is organized by the charity Kiwi Inspiring Stories, which has a vision to see young people realize their potential to change the world.

Former New Zealand Youth of the Year, Founder and CEO of Inspiring Stories Guy Ryan said the event is an “exciting and free” opportunity for young people to take part in an “epic day of connecting, inspiration and action”.

Young people between the ages of 16 and 25 are encouraged to register, with space available for up to 100 participants.
